Questions parents ask

Which devices do the games work on?

Android phones, tablets and folding phones running Android 5.0 or later, from Google Play. The games are designed for landscape play on a tablet or a phone held sideways. They are not on iPhone or iPad yet.

What is the difference between the demo and the full game?

The demo is a separate, free app with a proper slice of the game inside: the first three levels of Dino Rescue, or two scenes and two pictures in Let's Colour. Nothing in a demo is locked, and nothing in it ever asks for money. If your child loves it, the full game is a separate app on Google Play at one small price. See the comparison on each game page: Dino Rescue and Let's Colour.

Do the games really have no adverts or in-app purchases?

Really. There is nothing inside any Puddlejump game that shows an advert, links to another app, or asks for money. You pay once for a full game on Google Play, and that is the end of it.

Do the games collect any information about my child?

No. Our games do not even ask Android for permission to use the internet, so they cannot send anything anywhere. Progress and saved pictures stay on the device. Our privacy policy has the full detail, and it is short.

Do they work without an internet connection?

Yes, completely. Once installed, the games never need a connection. They are ideal for car journeys, flights and holidays.

Will my child's progress carry over from the demo to the full game?

Not automatically. The demo and the full game are separate apps, so the full game starts fresh from level one. The first three levels are quick, and most children enjoy playing them again with the whole dino team.

Can I get a refund?

Purchases are handled by Google Play, so refunds are too. Google normally lets you refund an app within 48 hours of buying it, straight from the Play Store order history. If you are outside that window and something is genuinely wrong, email us and we will do our best to help.

Is there a way to turn the sound or the narration off?

Use the device volume, or the mute button in the game's menu. In Dino Rescue the Learn about the dinosaurs pages are narrated so that children who cannot read yet can enjoy them; the narration only plays when a page is opened.

Something is not working. What should I do?

First, try closing the game fully and opening it again. If that does not fix it, email hello@puddlejumpgames.com with the name of the game, your device model and what went wrong. Screenshots help enormously. We will get back to you as soon as we can.

Are you making more games?

Yes. More adventures are in the works, all built on the same promise: no adverts, no purchases inside the game, nothing collected. Email us if you would like to hear when the next one lands.
